The government's efforts to encourage the pace of the national economy are contained in the 2020 national medium-term development plan (RPJMN), one of which contains the implementation of priority industrial estate development in Java, Sumatra, Kalmantan, Sulawesi, Maluku Islands, Papua and NTB. One of those included in the priority industrial estate is JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate.
At present there are only nine priority industrial estates that have been completed, including JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate in Gresik. While 18 other industrial areas are still under construction until now. Therefore, the entrepreneur requested the development of the priority industrial estate to be accelerated so that it could soon become an investment land.
JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate itself is one of the priority industrial estates which is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial estate in Indonesia. JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships and housing with the concept of an environmentally friendly independent city, named GEM City, with a variety of exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers.
