The environmentally friendly aspect is one of the benchmarks used by the Minister of Industry (Minister of Industry) to determine the competitiveness of products produced by an industrial estate. Therefore, the Minister of Industry requests all industrial zones in Indonesia to implement these aspects, as has been carried out by JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate.
By introducing the concept of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery, and Rethink, the Minister of Industry urged that the environmentally friendly aspects are not only limited to waste treatment, but must also be applied to the production process of a product in order to minimize the negative effects generated for the environment.
In this case, JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate is one of the industrial estates that has implemented environmentally friendly aspects optimally through the provision of facilities that prioritize these aspects.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial area in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships and housing with the concept of an environmentally friendly independent city, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as the field golf and shopping center.
