The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) states that Indonesia is one of five countries with industries whose manufacturing sectors are able to contribute above the average to the economy. This makes Indonesia included in an industrial country that has high added value.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry noted that Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the manufacturing sector is the largest in the ASEAN region. The industrial sector, which includes various industrial zones, one of which is East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE, was able to contribute to the national GDP of Rp 2,555.8 trillion in 2018. In this case, industrial estates in East Java, for example East Java Industrial Estates, JIIPE, have a significant contribution by contributing as much as 40% of the national economy.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself has a quite large contribution with the increasing interest of investors and land sales in the industrial area. It should be noted that the East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial estate in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships. East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE has also been equipped with an independent, eco-friendly city housing concept named GEM City, which includes a variety of exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers.
