With a total area of 31,784 ha with a potential land area of 31,784 ha, East Java Province will continue to develop an industrial area, to accommodate investment needs in manufacturing in the next few years. Until now there are only around 4,097 ha of existing industrial estate.
One of them is the 1,761 ha Java Integrated Industrial Port Estate (JIIPE) industrial area, the 140 ha Gresik (KIG) industrial estate. The government and developers will continue to provide industrial estates, especially potential areas outside ring 1 which have lower MSEs so they are expected to be competitive.
Among the industrial estates that are being worked on and offered are in Gresik, namely the North Gresik Agroindustrial industrial area of 4,300 ha and 285 hectares of Salt Laka, while in Jombang there is a Ploso industrial area of 800 ha, and Mojokerto's industrial area covering 10,000 ha.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial area in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships and housing with an environmentally friendly industrial area, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers within the industrial estate.
